Digital Goa, December 2 – Police have arrested a youth originally from North India, currently residing in Baga, for allegedly stealing ₹1.85 crore from the house of his friend’s grandparents in Thivim. According to the complaint filed at Colvale Police Station, the accused, who would visit the house occasionally through his friendship with the complainant’s granddaughter, committed the theft along with another accomplice.Police said the accused has confessed to the crime, and ₹7 lakh of the stolen amount has been recovered from him.
