Digital Goa, May 6- In a significant development in the Rs 43.2 crore Chicalim cocaine seizure of April 2025, the Crime Branch has arrested two individuals- Zimbabwean national residing in Gujarat and a person from Ahmedabad, Gujarat for their alleged involvement in the drug trafficking network. The accused are identified as 32-year-old Chirag Dudhat and Tariro Brightmore Mangwana from Zimbabe, presently residing at Vadodara, Gujarat. Three persons Nibu Vincent (45), a resident of Baina, Vasco da Gama; and a husband-wife duo, Reshma Wadekar and Manguesh Wadekar, both residents of Sada, were arrested last month. Reshma had revealed that a person from Gujarat had financed her travel abroad. Acting on this information, Crime Branch apprehended Chirag from Ahmedabad on April 22. During interrogation, Dudhat confessed to transferring funds to Wadekar under the instructions of a foreign national known as ‘Mr. Don’. Further financial scrutiny uncovered that the money originated from Mangwana. He was arrested on April 28. Both accused have been remanded to judicial custody in Colvale Jail.
