Digital Goa, December 5 – A total of 39 nominations were received today for the upcoming Zilla Panchayat elections, as per data issued by the Chief Electoral Officer. The party-wise breakdown shows the Revolutionary Goans Party leading the filings with 16 candidates. The Bharatiya Janata Party followed with a total of 12 nominations. Additionally, 10 candidates filed their nominations as Independents, and the Indian National Congress submitted 1 nomination. Tuesday, Dec 9 is the last date for filing nominations for the ZP polls to be held on Dec 20.
