Digital Goa, Dec 31 – Lok Bhavan, Goa, has introduced two institutional measures at the start of the New Year to strengthen internal administration and governance. The New Durbar Hall within the Lok Bhavan premises has been renamed Zuari Hall, moving away from colonial-era terminology and reflecting Goa’s natural heritage along with contemporary democratic and constitutional values. Lok Bhavan has also begun implementing a paperless administrative system by reactivating the e-Pass system and integrating it with an in-house digital platform, Deepastambh. The platform is aimed at reducing paper usage, enhancing security through automated processes, and streamlining approvals, access control, file movement and internal coordination. The system is currently in the trial phase.
