Digital Goa, June 9 – Town & Country Planning Department has ‘corrected’ zone of 16,039 sqr mtr area at 4 different locations in Goa from paddy fields and natural cover to settlement zone in Regional Plan 2021 using provisions under 17(2) of TCP Act. A notification to this effect was issued by the department today. 10,100 m2 at Assagao village which is earmarked as Natural Cover zone as per RPG-2021 has been ‘corrected’ as Settlement zone. Area admeasuring 1318 sqr mtr at Deussua, Salcete has been changed from Paddy Field to Settlement zone. Similarly, 2787 sqr mtr land at Oxel, Bardez earmarked as Paddy Field with Irrigation Command Area has been corrected as Settlement zone. Another land admeasuring 1,834 sqr mtr at Queula, Ponda earmarked as Paddy Field as per RPG-2021, has been ‘corrected as Settlement zone.
