Amar Bandekar death case: Accused remanded to 7 days police custody

Jan 27- Surender Kumar, accused held in Amar Bandekar death case has been remanded to 7 days police custody by JMFC Pernem. As per details provided by police, 39-year-old Surender Kumar an employee of Sea Lounge Beach Shack and a native of Anni, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh and other staff members of the shack had a verbal altercation with 28-year-old Amar Bandekar. The argument broke over the issue of shifting the chairs which were arranged on the shore of the Arambol beach by them and the quarrel escalated. Suddenly in the fit of anger, accused persons assaulted Amar with slaps, kicks, and with sharp and hard object causing him serious bodily injuries, said police. To avoid and save himself from further assault, the deceased tried to escape from the spot and after running for some distance, he collapsed. He was shifted to CHC Tuem in 108 ambulance where he was declared brought dead. The staff of Sea Lounge Beach Shack, Arambol, are being interrogated, police added.
