Feb 16- Karnataka Minister for Labour Welfare Santosh Lad today met Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and urged him to take steps to ensure protection and welfare of migrant workers from Karnataka in Goa. Lad who gave a representation letter to CM said that he brought to the attention of Sawant plight of the migrant labourers from Karnataka in Goa and their struggles. “I sought his intervention to extend health and other social welfare facilities provided by the state to these workers and grant them protection from various local bodies that subject them to ill-treatment,” Lad added.
