Digital Goa, Mar 6- Private companies based in Goa will be fined to the tune of Rs 5,000 to Rs 30,000 if they fail to advertise their vacancies in Goa for the benefit of locals. State cabinet today notified amendment to the Employment Exchanges (Compulsory Notification of Vacancies) Act to this effect. The fines will vary depending on the number of employees in the company and the number of times the offence is repeated. “The companies will have to advertise in local media as well as inform the local employment exchange,” said CM Pramod Sawant while briefing the media after the cabinet meeting.

▪️ Cabinet nod to purchase of Nandadeep building owned by Mapusa Urban bank for Rs 25 crore. CM said this will help the bank under liquidation to return the money back to its depositors.

State cabinet today approved financial assistance of Rs 1.5 crore to the Goa Spiritual Festival 2025, organised by the Sadguru Foundation in association with Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth on March 8,2025 at Shree Devi Lairai Devasthan, Shirgao.
