Bengaluru, March 7 – A Bengaluru court has acquitted Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte in a case related to illegal iron ore mining and transportation. The verdict brings closure to the long-running case, which had been under scrutiny for years. Khaunte, who previously served as the Minister for Mines and Geology, was accused of facilitating illegal mining operations and permitting unauthorised transportation of iron ore. The trial was held in Bengaluru due to jurisdictional considerations.
