Panaji, Mar 17 – The Governor of Goa has appointed Dr Udaysinh Shrikant Raorane as the Chairman of the Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) under Article 316(1) of the Constitution. His tenure will be for six years from the date he assumes office or until he attains the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier, states a notification issued in this regards by Under Secretary (Per II), Raghuraj Faldesai on March 5,2025. Incidentally, a PIL has been filed in the court challenging his appointment as member of GPSC. The petitioners have argued that his appointment was made as member without following due procedure.
