Digital Goa, April 16 – In a shocking incident, a 21-month-old girl child lost her life after being attacked by stray dogs at Talem, Durgabhat, Bethoda near Ponda. The child was seriously injured and rushed to a nearby hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries before treatment could begin.The tragic event occurred early this morning after the toddler, who had come to her maternal uncle’s house with her mother from Shapur, Ponda the previous evening, wandered outside unnoticed by the family around 6 am. She was then attacked by a pack of stray dogs on the road. The area is used as a dumping ground, attracting a large number of stray dogs in search of food, informed locals.
