Digital Goa, April 23 – Security measures have been heightened in Goa which is a coastal and tourist state, in the wake of recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, informed CM Pramod Sawant. CM revealed that three Goan couples narrowly escaped the Pahalgam attack, having departed the area just 15 minutes before the incident occurred. Furthermore, Sawant informed that the Goa government is in active communication with 26 individuals from the state currently in Jammu and Kashmir. He assured that all necessary assistance to ensure their well-being. Sawant also said that in view of the terror attack all the events planned in the state for his birthday tomorrow have been cancelled, except for welfare programs like blood donation etc.
