Digital Goa, May 12 – Goa government will undertake a first-of-its-kind comprehensive survey of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) across the state to build an accurate and updated database, Minister for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Subhash Phaldesai, informed. The survey, to be carried out in line with RPwD Act, will now include 21 categories of disabilities and more than 100 assessment parameters. It will also involve geo-tagging. The initiative is expected to help the govt extend targeted schemes and prepare inclusive policies. The department today announced that assessment camps will be held in all talukas from May 20 to June 2, 2025, to identify beneficiaries for free distribution of aids and appliances under the ADIP Scheme.
