Digital Goa, May 14 -The Shirgao Temple Committee has stated it has not yet received the Fact-Finding Committee’s report on the Lairai Devi Jatra stampede. “We will respond only after we get the report and discuss it with the Mahajans and the temple committee,” said President Dinanath Gaonkar.
Gaonkar also denied allegations of non-cooperation with authorities, stating the committee fully supported the District Administration and Police. The fact-finding report, submitted last week, reportedly blames multiple parties, including the temple committee, for lapses in crowd control. CM Pramod Sawant had also blamed the temple committee yesterday of non cooperation.
