Digital Goa, May 22- Goa government has made it mandatory for all sewage tankers operating in the state to register with the Sewerage and Infrastructural Development Corporation of Goa Ltd. by paying a one-time fee of Rs 5,000. In addition to registration, all sewage tankers have to be painted mustard yellow with “SEWAGE TANKER” clearly marked on both sides and the front. Tankers transporting treated sewage water for non-potable use must be painted green and marked “TREATED SEWAGE TANKER” similarly, states a notification issued in this regards. Tankers that fail to comply with these requirements by June 21, 2025, will not be permitted to operate or unload at sewage treatment plants (STPs) across the state, the notification adds.
