Digital Goa, May 26- Goa government is considering a new proposal to generate solar energy by utilising barren lands on both sides of irrigation canals, CM Pramod Sawant informed today. This move comes amid doubts raised about the feasibility of earlier proposed solar projects over dams. In January last year, the central government-owned SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL) had submitted a proposal to the Goa government to invest over Rs 1,300 crore to generate solar power through four floating solar projects over Selaulim, Amthanem, Anjunem, and Chapoli dams.
