Digital Goa, July 21 – Leader of the Opposition Yuri Alemao triggered uproar in the Goa Assembly today after raising a Point of Order over the downgrading of a starred question on Coal transportation and Green Cess recovery to unstarred. LoP alleged Rs 3,000 crore plus worth scam involving major companies. He called such moves by the govt as “murder of democracy” and accused the government of shielding big players. CM Pramod Sawant on his part hit back, saying, real murder of democracy happened during the Emergency imposed by the then Congress government.
