Digital Goa, July 28– Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte slammed second-home owners in Goa, especially from Delhi, for illegally renting out their apartments and villas to tourists without permission. Responding to a Zero Hour mention by Michael Lobo, who raised concerns about nuisance caused by illegal homestays in residential complexes, Khaunte acknowledged that loud music, public drinking, and haphazard parking are troubling local residents. He emphasized the need to enforce safety and security in tourist areas and appealed to housing societies to report such illegal rentals by dialling the helpline 1364.
