Digital Goa, August 1 – Mopa Airport Police seized five Plaster of Paris Ganesh idols from a vehicle at the Patradevi border on July 31 for violating the Environment Protection Act. The accused, Shripad Patil from Kolhapur, was served a notice. A case has been registered and investigation is underway. PoP idols are banned in Goa primarily due to their harmful environmental impact.
