Digital Goa, August 3 – Loliem Village Panchayat Gram Sabha today resolved to reject all 13 proposed projects, including the Film City, on village plateaus. The projects are proposed on Communidade land. The Panchayat resolved to write to government authorities and project proponents urging withdrawal of the proposals and plans to pursue legal action if needed. Villagers have also sought intervention from Governor of Goa and multiple other authorities—including Chief Secretary, South Goa Collector, and local Communidade and Panchayat bodies over the matter. An online petition backing plateau conservation has already received nearly 3,000 signatures.
