Digital Goa, August 4 – Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar told the Assembly that he will discuss with the Finance Minister the recovery of ₹4,500 crore in green cess dues owed to Goa, clarifying that the cess is handled by the Finance Department. He also said the state’s power demand is rising by 6% annually, with peak demand reaching 815 MW in 2025–26, and 8,039 km of underground cabling completed to strengthen infrastructure. Assuring action on pending electric vehicle subsidies, he said the department is working to clear the backlog. On renewable energy, he noted that ₹15.07 crore has been disbursed for rooftop solar panels, with 2,157 connections generating 72.5 million units of power.
