Digital Goa, August 19 – Vasco police personnel escorting an accused for medical examination at around 3.30 pm yesterday were attacked by a group of around seven persons. Police said the group had obstructed the road, and when asked to move aside, they allegedly assaulted the escorting team. Some police personnel sustained injuries in the incident. Two persons from the group have been apprehended, while others managed to flee. Vasco police have launched a manhunt to trace the remaining accused. Incidentally, Cuncolim police were also attacked by miscreants last week.
