Digital Goa, August 25 – Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has scheduled a public hearing on September 29, 2025, for a proposed iron ore mining project at Onda village in Sattari taluka. The hearing will begin at 10.30 am at Panchayat Hall, Morlem. The Mineral block X at Onda has been e-auctioned to M/s Agravanshi Private Limited and involves mining operations on 61.7325 hectares of land at Onda for the production of 0.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of iron ore. The Goa-SEIAA has invited stakeholders to submit suggestions, comments, and objections in writing before the scheduled date of the hearing. Draft Environmental Impact Assessment reports, along with executive summaries in English and Konkani, are available for reference at the GSPCB office and can also be accessed online at https://goaspcb.gov.in/upcoming/
