Digital Goa, October 8 – Goa government has unveiled its Clean Energy Roadmap 2050, outlining a comprehensive strategy to make the state energy-secure, climate-resilient, and sustainable through a series of renewable energy initiatives. The roadmap includes the Goa Renewable Energy Capacity Planning Report, the Net Positive Panchayat (NPP) Initiative—India’s first programme aimed at making every panchayat energy self-sufficient—and an MoU with the SELCO Foundation to solarize healthcare facilities across the state. Workshop aimed at deciding on strategies and sensitising officials towards implementation of the roadmap was held in the capital today. Through initiatives such as green cooking, solar rooftops, and bioenergy, we are steadily advancing towards self-reliant and sustainable villages, said CM Sawant at the launch. He also urged industries and partners to join the govt in transforming Goa into a model clean energy state.
