Digital Goa, Oct 17 – The lawyer representing Zenito Cardozo, who has been arrested in connection with the Rama Kankonkar attack case, informed the Sessions Court today that Rama Kankonkar did not mention Zenito’s name in his statement. The lawyer argued this while seeking bail for his client, stating that Rama has not raised any suspicion about Zenito’s involvement in the attack. The bail hearing is currently underway in the North Goa Sessions Court. Meanwhile, Zenito Cardozo has filed a petition before the Supreme Court challenging the High Court’s order dismissing his appeal and upholding his conviction for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, along with a three-year sentence in the 2009 Siridao gang war case, in which two persons were killed.
