Digital Goa, Oct 17 – In a shocking case, a couple has been arrested for allegedly murdering a two-year-seven-month-old girl in Maulinguem, Bicholim. Police said the accused — Nithin Kumara, a resident of Yeshwantnagar, Maulinguem and native of Uttara Kannada, and Nagamma, aged 28, also from Yeshwantnagar and originally from Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka — were in a live-in relationship. According to the complaint filed by Bicholim Police , the duo, with common intent, had been assaulting the minor girl over a period of time and ultimately killed her by smothering her on October 15, 2025, as they reportedly disliked the child, who was the daughter of Nagamma’s first husband.
