Goa likely to move Supreme Court for joint inspection of Kalsa-Bandura

Digital Goa, Oct 24 – Goa Legislative Assembly’s House Committee on the Mhadei river diversion has suggested that the Goa government approach the apex court to obtain an order for a joint inspection of the Kalsa-Bandura project, informed Committee’s Chairperson Subhash Shirodkar. After a gap of more than nine months, the House Committee held its third meeting today. The committee has suggested that the Goa government approach the court to obtain an order for a joint inspection of the Kalsa-Bandura project under the chairmanship of the Mhadei Water Management Authority (PRAWAH). Water Resources Minister Subhash Shirodkar also informed that Maharashtra has requested to host the next PRAWAH meeting in their state. The House Committee discussed ongoing developments in the Mhadei dispute and emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to protect Goa’s water interests.
