Digital Goa, October 26, 2025 – Seven persons have been booked by Panaji Police following clash of two groups right outside Panaji Police station’s main entrance early Sunday morning. According to police, the incident occurred today at around 6.15 am when two groups — one led by Devu Kawas (52) of Alto Betim and another by Yakub Wallikar (38) of Chimbel — began abusing and assaulting each other with fists and kicks despite police intervention. During the scuffle, Kawas allegedly used an iron knuckle duster, while another accused used pepper spray. Both groups sustained injuries, with Yakub Wallikar suffering fractures to his left leg and hand. Devu Kawas, Jyoti Kawas, Roshni Kawas, Sohil Kawas belonging to one group and Imran Gauas Kaburgi, Yakub Allabaksha Wallikar and Mubarak Sikandar Bhandari belonging to the other group, have been booked by police.
