Narrow escape for Chandigarh man after car plunges into river at defunct Khorjuvem ferry ramp

Digital Goa, October 27 – A man from Chandigarh had a narrow escape after his car accidentally plunged into the river at a defunct ferry ramp at Khorjuvem, Aldona early Monday morning. The incident occurred when he was reportedly directed onto a wrong road by Google Maps amid heavy rains. The driver, identified as Aman from Chandigarh and currently residing in Moira, managed to tear open the roof of his Jeep and swim safely to the shore. Locals said the ferry ramp has been unused for several years and have urged the government to install barricades at the site to prevent similar accidents in the future.
