Digital Goa, Nov 11 – Old Goa Police have placed six persons, including Chimbel Panch Shankar Naik, under preventive arrest to avert any breach of peace following tensions over a social media post allegedly making remarks about people of Goan and non-Goan origin. The action follows a complaint against Naik for allegedly insulting, abusing, and threatening a Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) committee member and others. Police said an inquiry is underway, and all six will be produced before the Magistrate tomorrow.
