Digital Goa, Dec 12 – Ganpatlal Choudhri, a local trader, has lodged a complaint alleging he was cheated of ₹1.08 lakh by unknown persons posing as engineers from M/S Pooja Construction. On Nov 29, the accused ordered Polycab cables from Choudhri’s shop near KTC Bus Stand, Chaudi, and sent a fake payment screenshot to convince him the amount had been paid. They even sent a person in a car to collect the cables. The accused later falsely claimed the NEFT transaction failed and promised payment the next morning, which never came.
