Indian Navy to commission second MH-60R helicopter squadron at Goa

Digital Goa, December, 14 – The Indian Navy is set to commission its second MH-60R helicopter squadron, INAS 335 (Ospreys), at INS Hansa, Goa, on December 17. The ceremony will be attended by Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi. The MH-60R helicopters, equipped with state-of-the-art weapons, sensors, and avionics, are designed to perform a wide range of naval operations, including anti-submarine warfare and surveillance. The induction of INAS 335 is part of the Navy’s ongoing modernization programme aimed at enhancing operational capability and strengthening maritime security. The commissioning of the Osprey squadron marks a significant step in India’s effort to maintain a technologically advanced and versatile naval force.
