Digital Goa, Jan 2 – The North Goa District and Sessions Court has ordered an interim stay on the ongoing construction of the Unity Mall at Chimbel by GTDC till January 8. The court will hear the main petition challenging the construction licence issued by the Panchayat for the mall to GTDC on January 8. Meanwhile, villagers on a hunger strike since last 6 days near the construction site have called for a Mahasabha against the Unity Mall on January 4. Villagers said the future course of action will be announced during the mega meeting.
