Digital Goa, Jan 14 – The North Goa Principal District and Sessions Court has quashed and set aside the orders of the BDO and the Deputy Director of Panchayats, and has also set aside the construction licence issued to GTDC by the Secretary of the Chimbel Village Panchayat for the proposed Unity Mall, counsel for the Chimbel villagers informed. Following the court order, no construction or related activity can be carried out at the Unity Mall site as of now, she said. Meanwhile, the villagers’ protest against the mall entered its 18th day on Wednesday. A delegation of villagers has been called for discussions with CM Pramod Sawant today, i.e Wednesday evening.
