Digital Goa, Mar 18 – Anjuna Police Station team conducted a narcotics raid at Assagao, Bardez, leading to the arrest of a foreign national and seizure of drugs valued at ₹23.81 lakh. The accused, Sokratis Michailidis (59), a citizen of Greece, residing at Badem, Assagao was apprehended for illegal possession of narcotic substances. During the operation, police recovered and seized 2.271 kg of charas worth approximately ₹22.71 lakh and 10.77 grams of ecstasy valued at around ₹1.10 lakh. The total value of the seized narcotics stands at ₹23.81 lakh. The accused was produced before JMFC Mapusa and has been remanded to 10 days of police custody for further investigation.
