Digital Goa, March, 27 – The Goa Customs have arrested five passengers with 23.8 kg of hydroponic weed worth over Rs 8 crore at the Manohar International Airport (MIA), Mopa officials said on Friday. Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) intercepted the passengers, who had arrived from Bangkok (Thailand) and Abu Dhabi via Muscat on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 informed Customs Commissioner. Officials recovered 23.832 kg of hydroponic weed (cannabis), concealed inside food packets.The seized contraband is valued at approximately Rs 8.34 crore in the illicit market. The accused have been arrested and the contraband seized under the provisions of NDPS Act.
