Digital Goa, May 11 – Mission Political Reservation has warned that they will hold a dharna protest outside the Tribal Welfare Department in Panaji until the State government issues the final notification related to political reservation for Scheduled Tribes (ST) in the Goa Legislative Assembly. The leaders announced their course of action in the meeting held outside Tribal Welfare Dept today. Mission Political Reservation leaders pointed out that although nine months have passed since the political reservation legislation received approval, the government is yet to initiate the next stage of the process. They stated that the agitation will continue outside the department until the final notification is issued. Despite the central legislation being passed and notified in August 2025, final operational notification from the government is still awaited to bring the law into effect, they pointed out.
