Digital Goa, May 12 – South Goa SP Santosh Dessai has reiterated that the preliminary police investigation indicates Goa Home Guard Dinesh Gaude (48) died in a gaur attack at Usgao. He said eyewitness statements and the postmortem report support this finding, while further investigation is ongoing. The case had taken a fresh turn after the Forest Department raised questions over the circumstances surrounding Gaude’s death. Meanwhile, doctors at the South Goa District Hospital have also firmly defended their postmortem report which indicated death due to gaur attack.
