Farmers’ long pending mining compensation claims to be addressed at Surla camp

Digital Goa, May 13 – A 3 day special facilitation camp will be held at Government High School, Surla, from May 20 to 22 to process long-pending crop loss and damage compensation claims for farmers affected by mining-related siltation in compliance with 2014 High Court directions. The camp will cover beneficiaries linked to around 300 land sub-divisions. Eligible claimants, including owners, occupants and legal heirs, have been asked to verify their names at Surla Village Panchayat and carry relevant land, identity, bank and legal documents to the camp.
