Digital Goa, May 14 – A woman pillion rider was killed on the spot in a tragic road accident involving a two-wheeler and a speeding container truck at Borim on Wednesday afternoon. The accident took place around 1.30 pm when the two-wheeler was travelling from Ponda towards Borim. In the collision, both the rider and the pillion rider were thrown onto the road, following which the woman came under the wheels of the container truck and died instantly. The container driver allegedly fled the scene without stopping to help the injured. However, local residents chased the vehicle, intercepted the driver near Saibaba Temple, and handed him over to the police.
