Digital Goa, August 6 – Calangute Police have arrested four persons in connection with the alleged assault, extortion and abduction of a Rajasthan native at a rented apartment in Gaurawado, Calangute. Police said that Ravindra Yadav, a resident of Rajasthan staying at Kamat Holiday Home, complained that around 2.30 am on August 5, a group of seven to eight persons, including two women, forcibly entered his apartment and assaulted him and his friend, Ankit Kumar, with sticks and pipes. The accused allegedly threatened to kill them, extorted ₹27,000 by putting them in fear of death or grievous injury, and abducted Ankit Kumar to an undisclosed location. During the investigation, police arrested Sai Jadhav (23), Sushil Sadafule (23), Gurvinder Singh Barar (43), all from Candolim, and Saraswati Sitapure (32) from Calangute.
