A woman riding a two-wheeler was critically injured in a horrific hit-and-run accident after being struck by a speeding Thar vehicle travelling from Margao towards Cuncolim. The impact threw the woman onto the road, while the Thar also reportedly sideswiped another vehicle in front before fleeing the scene. The injured woman was rushed to Goa Medical College and Hospital for emergency treatment, where her condition is stated to be critical. Margao police have conducted a spot panchanama and launched an investigation. A search is underway to trace the absconding driver.
