Digital Goa, June 15 – A major water pipeline at Kansa, Thivim, was damaged late Sunday night after a car rammed into the roadside pipeline, triggering a large water leak and traffic disruption. The car, which was travelling towards Mapusa, crashed into the pipeline, causing it to burst and shoot a fountain of water into the air. According to the driver, he swerved to the side in an attempt to avoid a truck that had allegedly strayed into his lane, and in the process struck the pipeline. A large quantity of water flowed onto the road following the impact, affecting traffic movement in the area. Efforts were initiated to repair the damaged pipeline. Water supply in the area is likely to be affected.
