CM seeks speedy approval from Center for Goa’s Urban Challenge Fund proposals

    Digital Goa, June 10 –CM Pramod Sawant said he has sought the Union Government’s assistance for the speedy approval of proposals submitted by Goa under the Urban Challenge Fund (UCF). Sawant raised the matter during a meeting with Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Power, Manohar Lal Khattar, in New Delhi on June 10. The Urban Challenge Fund is a ₹1 lakh crore centrally sponsored scheme approved by the Union Cabinet to promote market-led and reform-driven urban transformation across the country. Introduced in the Union Budget 2025-26, the fund aims to support urban infrastructure projects through a market-linked financing model.
    Speaking about the meeting, Union Minister Khattar said there was a detailed review of various power transmission projects underway in Goa, projects being implemented under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), and key issues related to the Urban Challenge Fund
