Digital Goa, June 17 – Department of Tourism has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) from private operators to introduce and operate a wide range of new tourism activities in Goa as part of its efforts to diversify tourism offerings beyond beaches and promote year-round tourism. The EOI covers activities across multiple categories, including water-based and marine tourism, adventure and aero tourism, wellness tourism, cultural and rural tourism, entertainment, premium tourism, eco-tourism and digital tourism. Proposed activities include jet surfing, scuba diving, heritage boat cruises, floating restaurants, luxury yacht tourism, skydiving, hot-air balloon rides, heli-tours, seaplane services, bungee jumping, wellness and yoga retreats, heritage walks, wedding and incentive tourism, golf tourism, drone shows, wildlife safaris, caravan tourism, AR/VR-based attractions, AI-enabled tourism services etc aimed at enhancing visitor experiences and promoting Goa as a year-round destination. Applicants also have the liberty to propose other innovative, sustainable and transformative tourism activities not specifically listed in the EOI. The department has also offered support in obtaining approvals, marketing activities and facilitating infrastructure requirements on a best-effort basis to the successful bidders.
