Digital Goa, June 24 – A taxi caught fire near the Ganpati Temple on the Mapusa–Parra road late night around 1 am, triggering panic among motorists and local residents. The driver and two tourists travelling in the vehicle managed to get out safely before the fire engulfed the taxi. Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot after receiving an alert and brought the blaze under control. The vehicle sustained extensive damage in the fire. No injuries were reported.
