Digital Goa, June 26 – Power Department will automatically enhance the sanctioned electricity load of consumers up to 10 kW under a new procedure, CEE Stephen Fernandes informed after meeting CM. Fernandes said single-phase connections will be automatically upgraded up to 5 kW. Once the load exceeds 5 kW, consumers will have to convert to a three-phase connection. Consumers requiring a sanctioned load above 10 kW will also have to apply separately for enhancement. Consumers will be given three months to apply. He said a detailed circular outlining the procedure will be issued soon. Fernandes also reiterated that penalties collected from consumers for excess load between November and June will be reversed and credited back to their electricity bills.
