Digital Goa, July 1 – Central Government has notified a daily wage rate of ₹406 for unskilled manual workers in Goa under the newly introduced Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) [VB-G RAM-G], which has replaced the MGNREGS. The revised wage rates, notified by the Ministry of Rural Development, come into effect from July 1, 2026. Goa’s wage rate has been fixed at ₹406 per day, making it one of the highest in the country, behind only Sikkim (High Altitude Gram Panchayats -₹450), Haryana (₹409) and ahead of Kerala (₹401) and Karnataka (₹382).
