Digital Goa, August 5 – A petition has been filed before the High Court challenging the appointment of Dr Medha Salkar as Director of Health Services. Petitioner Dr Saleena Naik has alleged that the July 31 appointment bypassed the prescribed promotional hierarchy and violated recruitment rules. She has sought to quash the appointment, direct her own appointment to the post claiming that she is the senior-most eligible officer, and stay Dr Salkar’s appointment until the case is decided.
