High Court rejects plea challenging Goa Cycling Association election

Digital Goa, August, 10- High Court has rejected a petition challenging the election of the Cycling Association of Goa over alleged non-compliance with the National Sports Governance Act, 2025.Petitioner contended that the association must amend its by-laws to continue affiliation with the Cycling Federation of India, including restricting membership to clubs or associations instead of individuals. The High Court observed that the dispute essentially concerns enforcement of the national federation’s rules and declined to exercise writ jurisdiction at this stage. It left the petitioner free to raise all the issues before the Cycling Federation of India.
